Nail questions

What is the difference between gel, dip powder and acrylic nails?

Gel polish (shellac) is brushed on like polish and cured under a lamp. It suits natural nails and usually lasts about two weeks. Dip powder is a little thicker and harder and can last up to three or four weeks. Acrylic is sculpted to add length, and is kept up with fills.

How often do I need a fill?

About every two to three weeks for acrylic, Gel-X and builder gel, as your nails grow out. If a set has grown out a long way or several nails have lifted, a new full set is usually the better choice.

Can you remove my old dip or acrylic nails?

Yes. A new dip set with removal of the old one is $54 ($49 without removal). Taking down artificial nails is $8.

Can I bring a photo of a design I like?

Please do. Text it to (616) 856-7779 when you book, or show your technician at the table. Browse our nail art gallery for ideas.
